- Free Technical Programming and Coding Courses This Weekend
Tomorrow (Friday) through Sunday, all courses at CodeSchool.com will be completely free.
Codeschool normally costs $29/month.
The promotion starts Friday at 1pm Eastern (10am Pacific) and stops Sunday at 11:59pm Eastern (9pm Pacific).
If you decide to sign up after this weekend, they do give a 30-day satisfaction guarantee for the life of a month-to-month subscription.
So, if you are dissatisfied, you are eligible to get a refund on the price you paid within the last 30 days.
We used Codeschool for a couple months, and had mixed feelings.
Their presentation is very good and easy to understand.
Their courses do help grasp an overall understanding of various software development.
However, if you want to be a programmer/developer/engineer as a career, Codeschool would not be enough.
Their approach of teaching a few techniques followed by quizzes can leave people feeling stuck or confused why your answer (which may actually be good code) would flag an error.
Even some users on Reddit complained about their quality of teaching and practicing code writing.
In our opinion, take full advantage of this deal if you can.
After all, it is free!
If you do get stuck or feel you want more, Lynda and Udemy have our favorite online courses.
Other great technologies include Swift (iOS development), Mongo, and Python.

- First Year of LastPass Premium for $7.70
Click "Pay What You Want", pay at least $7.70 to get some Windows software plus a 1 year subscription to LastPass Premium.
It renews automatically at the regular $12/yr price, unless you cancel.
LastPass is a password management service that encrypts and stores your passwords for all your accounts.
They include access through your computers and mobile devices, and can automatically generate hardened passwords on each site you use.
LastPass's ease of generating random passwords for each of your logins would prevent one site's security beach from compromising all your accounts.
We highly recommend any password manager such as this.
Or, if you choose to pay at least $15 at HumbleBundle today, you also get BitDefender Antivirus for Windows for 1 year (normally $45/yr).
