SanDisk makes some of our favorite memory storage products (Samsung being our absolute favorite), especially with SD cards and MicroSD cards.
Amazon is running a rare one-day sale on SanDisk products (and some Western Digital products), with deals that include:
Solid State Drives
SanDisk Ultra 3D NAND 1TB SSD for $100.
Three year warranty.
One of the best deals for a great-quality 1TB SSD.
There are other 1TB SSDs priced at $100, but those may use lower-quality TLC technology and poorer support.
SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB Secure Digital (SD) Memory Card for $32.
Rarely ever priced under $40.
This is one of the highest quality SD cards on the market, with almost nobody reporting any data loss.
We have the 64GB version of this card in our SLR camera, and its fast write speed lets the camera take RAW photos in rapid succession.
Slower memory cards struggle when taking HDR photos or a burst of action shots, but this Extreme Pro card has no issues.
Plus, it's fast enough to record 4K video at 60 frames per second.
If you have a high quality SLR or Mirrorless camera, we recommend this memory card.
Note that SD cards can be used to store videos & photos taken by digital cameras, as well as storage for laptops.
Many laptops have a built-in SD card reader, or add a USB reader to turn a SD card into a flash drive.
The "U3" means it can handle sustainable writes of at least 30 megabytes per second, which is required for recording 4K video up to 60 frames
per second or for taking a burst of RAW photos with an SLR camera.
However, some reviews of these PNY SD cards talk about data and performance loss, which makes me nervous about using in our SLR camera.
We used SanDisk Extreme Pro SD cards in our SLR camera, and love it.
As long as you buy from a reputable seller (look for the actual seller on Amazon.com) and avoid counterfeit products, SanDisk is our recommended pick for high performance SD cards for SLR cameras.
