This router supports third-party DD-WRT firmware.
A lot of people recommend this router, as seen through the reviews on Newegg and on Amazon.
In the interest of full disclosure, we bought a refurbished version of this router from Newegg, flashed it with DD-WRT, and had problems with the 5GHz Wifi band.
No other reviewer seemed to report this problem, and this deal does include a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.
Even though we had problems, this still looks like a good deal for someone wanting to run DD-WRT and willing to go through the hassle of submitting a rebate.
There is a T-Mobile CellSpot logo on the front, but it is actually a Asus RT-AC68U which has decent reviews.
However, it is refurbished (previously used, returned, then fixed) and only comes with a 90-day warranty.
There are also a couple negative reviews worth reading before considering taking a chance on this refurbished product.

Lexar 32GB MicroSD Memory Card for $10.
Normally about $18.
MicroSD cards work in some portable devices, and not to be confused with SD cards used in cameras.
Netgear 5-Port Gigabit Switch, Software-Managed for $20.
We use this Switch in a room that connects a couple Ethernet devices, and it works fairly well.
It does have software to configure the router (QoS, port mirroring, cable diagnostics) which can be helpful when troubleshooting connection problems.
Asus RT-N12 Wifi Router for $18.
Normally about $28.
Cheap routers can handle only a small number of devices and limited bandwidth, so we do not recommend them for someone who uses the Internet a lot.
However, as a range extender (a second router extending the range of your Wifi network, linked with an Ethernet cable), cheap routers work very well.
Netgear Wifi Range Extender for $19.
Normally about $28.
It is specifically designed to extend the range of your Wifi network in areas of the house where WIfi is weak.
Plug an Ethernet cable into your main router during initial setup, then unplug the cable and plug the range extender onto a power outlet anywhere in the house.
It creates a second SSID that your Wifi devices can connect to when not in range of your main router.

The is a fair router, certainly better than the super-cheap $15 ones, but not by much.
However, it does support simultaneous dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz).
