Enter your laptop's make and model, then see if it supports 8GB SODIMM per socket, and how many sockets it has.

Our pair of G.Skill 8GB CAS-9 1.35volt SO-DIMMs work well, and seem to run cooler than other memory.

While we do like ours, its weight causes the charger to occasionally fall off of the wall socket.
