This was easy to assemble and I was able to mount the monitor with ease by myself. It came with simple instructions and all the tools and parts needed to assemble it. Other stands I've owned or used required two people to mount the monitor.
The range of motion is superb! Once I loosened the screw to the main arm as explained in the directions, I was able to rotate it with ease. While I don't plan on moving the monitor often, I was able to move it 360 prior to locking it down to the table surface. Once locked in place, I was able to move it up/down, left/right, and tilt viewing the angle with little effort and it held the position firm.
It has small clips towards the based of the arm to hide the cable. While it's a nice touch, it's not needed. I find that if you decide to move the monitor especially pulling it forward towards you, that lining the cables in the clips will restrict movement for short cables. Again, not a deal breaker for me as I don't plan on moving it often.
The base is solid and is holding firm to the table. It is easy to adjust as I had to do this a few times to get the arm and monitor in a sweet spot for how I conduct business. The finish on the arm is a mix of what seems to be polished metal/chrome and plastic. While the plastic has a cheap feel to it, I believe this was done to reduce the weight of the arm and allow certain types of movement such as hiding the cables, etc. In addition, the arm is not visible due to the size of the monitor, therefore making the finish a moot point. I merely grab my monitor to adjust the position I desire.
Overall, I am extremely please with this arm as it supports my large monitor, it is very adjustable, sturdy, and inexpensive! I would recommend others who are in the market for a single arm mount to consider this product!
Pros:
1: Good horizontal range of motion. As well as good rotation.
2: Easy to install. Took me about 30 minutes to clamp it on and attach the monitor.
3: Solid, no signs of wear after almost 6 months of use.
Cons:
1: The monitor arm does not really go high enough for it to be on top of any other monitor (unless your monitor is relatively small), making it harder to have a good 3 or 4+ monitor setup.
2: Your desk can't be right next to the wall for full range of motion. This is not a problem for me, but others might have to cut a hole in their desk for the arm to work nice
3: The clamp works in such a way that, if your desk has a metal bar under it for support, then the clamp can't fully get on there. I remedied this with a block of wood that was the same thickness of the metal bar (as shown in the pictures). This is not a problem if your desk does not have the support bar.

Pros:
- Price: It's a fraction of the price of the freedom arm
- Flexibility: Pretty much any position is possible. However, it does not tilt all the way horizontally for touch screen writing
- Tension adjustment: It was relatively simple to adjust the tension of both the arm itself, as well as the tilt mount. Still not the easiest to adjust, but once it is in place there is no need to keep adjusting.
- Build Quality: This arm seems to be made very well, with most of it being metal, and plastic coverings for the cable management.
- Space taken: The clamp itself does not take up very much space on your desk
Cons:
- The main issue with this arm is how hard it was to set up. I really like to have all my cables managed well. The built-in solution tucks the cables under the main parts of the arm, but leaves them exposed where the "elbow" part is. This means that you have to cable-manage so that they don't impede movement because of the rotation of the arm.
- Another issue setting up was moving the arm around on the desk to the best spot. This is just poor planning on my part, but in order for the monitor to be centered along the edge of the desk, the arm must be mounted off-center.
- Once all set up, the main issue becomes that it takes a little more force than I'd like to move the arm. Still very do-able, but you really have to stand up and use two hands to move it instead of just pulling it toward you.
I think this is a great product for people who want a flexible monitor arm, but don't move it too often (Maybe a few times a week). Setting up the arm is a hassle with one person, but seems much easier with two people. It is still a little harder than your average Ikea build. It is a cheap and very versatile arm.
