This receiver has great bang for the buck especially now that its being cleared out before the newer model hits stores. I don't think it has quite enough power if you have a larger full size towers. It somehow sounded a little thin compared to my eight year old Pioneer. Best suited for satellite speaker and sub setups. I also found the room calibration also a bit lacking. It just does the basics of speaker equalization, size, and distance. It doesn't do any type of reverb correction, phasing correction, or bass standing wave correction found on my older Pioneer. Features are good though, with multiroom, wireless, bluetooth and of course 4K and Dolby Atmos.

I bought this receiver by recommendation of a well informed sales rep from a big supplier. It probably is a good unit if you are capable of setting it up properly but it is too complicated for the uninformed beginner. I will have to hire someone to come set it up for me and that offsets the costs I saved buying it. It uses many accronyms and I don't know what they stand for.

This is a nice piece. It has a lot of usable features including 4k hdmi, bi-amping and a phono input. My only beef with it is the plastic front panel. for the price I paid, I expected brushed aluminum. The wattage isn't that high. But you don't need monstyer amplification for a living room.

Great receiver. Setup was pretty easy, but I’ve had many receivers. My only small gripe is the app you can use to run it. The app is harder to figure out than the receiver, but once you figure it out it runs the receiver fine. Sound is very good.... I suggest using the microphone to due setup. It’s a great starting point, then you can do minor adjustments to your taste.

I feel like this thing is a perfect entry-level receiver: tons of features, plenty of power for most home theater setups, but relatively cheap - especially now that it's officially a discontinued model. The setup process is a little clunky, but I think most people can muddle through without many issues. Looking forward to adding some height speakers for an Atmos setup.
