No, no way to add weights that we've found. You're really only using your body weight, and there is a chart that breaks down how much your body weight converts to in pounds lifted.

No. Only resistance is the incline that is based off your weight.

no bars. it uses your weight. the higher you but the angle of the glide seat the harder it is to move.

No weights come with the unit. The exercises are all done by your body weight. You can adjust the incline of the glideboard, thus making the exercises more challenging. It is possible that weights can be ordered from the manufacturer, but I can't see how they could be used with this unit.

Total Bodyworks 5000 has 50 LB of cords equivalent to 100LB of free weights attached to a bar on TG. It&#39;s cheaper &amp; you won&#39;t bump into the post

One of them. There are many models of the Total Gym, ranging in price from about $250.00 up to about $1,800.00. This one is at the low end of that price range, but frankly, I can't imagine what the more expensive models do that this one can't. It certainly does everything I need it to do.

After reading other reviews, my only concern was that it could arrive damaged due to poor handling during shipment. I was relieved to find it in perfect condition when I unpacked it. Setup was very simple, with easy to follow instructions. It came with both a DVD and printed manual for workout instructions. I bought this machine so I can work out at home, having grown tired of spending time traveling to and from the gym. I have been very happy with the decision, and I am confident that I will stay in better shape using this machine at home, 30 minutes daily, than when going to the gym 3 times per week. Like most, I am a bit leery of buying products advertised on TV, but this is the real deal. One of the most satisfactory purchases in recent memory!

my wife and I are both disabled fitness is a challenge and necessity. Unable to lift weight the principle of the total gym was interesting so we checked out the total gym.. Dr approved and Walmarts price was the best

great item for fitness

Item was to be shipped in 2 weeks or less! Received it 4 days after placing the order. Everything was in the box and it went together perfect. I am very pleased with the shipping time and with the product. For $299.00 which included the shipping charges you can not beat it. Seems to me that it will do everything that the more expensive total gym does.+

Great Product

This is a great deal on the Total Gym as it comes with several attachments and the guide attached to the top is a nice touch. The machine is solid and gives a good workout. It gets my heart rate up while lifting which kills two birds in one stone. I've noticed that my heart rate is still up at least an hour after working out. I'm glad I chose this one instead of spending more money to get the same results.

Excellent product and price

Love it.  My husband will soon be 77 and I am 74 years old and we both have been using it for 2 weeks and have had to up the incline to # 3 because we needed more of a challenge.   In 15 to 20 minutes we have completed the exercises we choose to do and it feels great.  What we like most is that it is very easy on the joints, but you get a really great workout on the muscles.  We both do upper body exercises because that is our weak area.  My husband is a double amputee and I have had back surgery.  Needless to say we are extremely happy with our purchase.  Our Total Gym was delivered on time and in perfect condition.  We love it.
