Every few weeks, American Express rolls out new promotions for card members. Current promotions include:
  • AmexTravel.com: Spend $500 or more, get $80 back.
  • Dropbox: Spend $50 or more, get $25 back.
  • Avis Car Rental: Spend $200 or more, get $30 back.
  • Hilton Garden Inn: Spend $175 or more, get $35 back.
  • Flemings Steakhouse: Spend $100 or more, get $25 back.
  • Adobe.com: Spend $15 or more, get $15 back.
To find these and more,
  1. Go to AmericanExpress.com and log in to your account.
  2. If you have multiple American Express cards, click "My Cards" on the right side and choose a personal AmEx card.
  3. Scroll down below the recent transactions, and you will see "Amex Offers & Benefits" and click "Available". Browse the first few, then click "Load More" to see more promotions.
Purchases must be in a single transaction to qualify. So if the required purchase minimum is $60, two separate $30 purchases will not qualify.

Online orders must ship before the promotion's expiration date, even if you place an order before the expiration date. Keep that in mind when pre-ordering an item not in stock.

Read the fine print. Unless a promotion says "no gift cards", it can be used toward a gift card. For example, the Fleming's Steakhouse promotion says "not valid for gift cards". However, if gift card purchases are allowed, you could buy a gift card for yourself, spend it anytime in the future, and enjoy the statement credit.

American Express will issue statement credits about 90 days after your purchase, or 90 days after the expiration of the promotion (see each promotion's terms/details).
