|Details:||$100 Southwest Airlines Gift Card for $90|
Pay $90 to get a $100 Southwest Airlines gift card. It is just a $10 savings, but certainly helps if you plan to fly Southwest soon.
Southwest has some of the best deals on travel today, but only services certain cities. If you are lucky enough to have Southwest service out of your nearest airport, you can get 2 free checked bags per passenger, and no cancellation or change fees. Most other airlines charge fees for checked baggage, some even charge for carry-on baggage, and nearly all have hefty change/cancellation fees. If you cancel/change a Southwest flight at least 24-hours before the flight departs, the entire amount you paid turns into credit that can be used toward any other flight within a year from the date you originally purchased it.
One tip. Our friend flies Southwest several times each year, loves booking low fares when buying the tickets at least a month in advance, but also wants greater flexibility with her travel plans. For example, she may plan travel to Austin for an event, but may want the option of driving to Dallas to visit a friend then flying home from there. But, what if she is not sure whether her friend will be around? So, she would buy two return flights at least a month before travel (to lock in the cheapest airfare): one flight would leave Austin on a Friday, another would leave Dallas on a Sunday. As the travel date would approach and her travel plans appear more clear, she would cancel one of those flights (since she only would need one return flight), and would receive full credit toward her next travel. She would put a reminder in her calendar to cancel one of the flights, to avoid being stuck losing the value of the unwanted flight.
