| Details: | Western Digital External/Desktop Hard Drive 8TB $170 (expired) (repost) Large-capacity hard drive prices have risen since May, with few deals available until now. The Western Digital External/Desktop 8TB hard drive is back down to a reasonable price, at $170 ($21.25 per TB). Still off from May's $17/TB price, but the best price we have seen since then. The 8TB capacity can hold about 2 million photos taken from a phone, about 128,000 uncompressed photos taken from a SLR or mirrorless camera, or about 128 hours of HD-quality videos. Hard drives are a cheaper and faster way to backup important files than using cloud services. However, the cloud can take uploads directly from mobile devices, versus a USB hard drive would backup photos and videos that were already copied to your computer. |
