| Details: | Changhong HDTVs: The Changhong 50-inch TV for under $400 is now expired, but hopefully will return soon. It was a great value, at several hundred less than what the major US brands sell similar 50-inch TVs for. Changhong is expected to release a few smaller TVs in the US in a few months in the 20-40 inch size. They have no plans to release a TV larger than 50 in the US, meaning if you want a screen size larger than 50, you will probably be limited to the major US brands which should sell for $750 to $2000 for a while. However if you can wait a while, large screens should become better, lighter, and likely cheaper as the industry begins to shift to using organic diodes instead of LED bulbs. This means a large screen TV that costs $1800 today may be half that price in a year from now. |
